Art and Craft is a fantastic activity to teach all areas of the curriculum from maths, reading, fine motor skills and more. Heather Durrant and I have created a fantastic CD with over 80 art and craft activities to use. You can print out and laminate to use with individuals or small groups, or you can put on your interactive whiteboard for the whole class to follow. The CD includes all the templates for each activity. It also includes the Curriculum Outcomes and examples of Learning Outcomes for the activities.
Through Art & Craft children develop cognitive, social and language skills. Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder are usually visual learners. Providing visual sequences enable them to engage in Art & Craft activities and learn.
